Carpet over Hardwood, Acrylic/Nylon

A heavy acrylic or nylon woven fabric attached to a rubber or burlap-like backing. It is attached to the floor either by an adhesive or by nailing tack strips along the perimeter of the room. This carpeting also includes the additional cost of having a hardwood floor under the carpeting. This is typically found in older homes where the original floors are hardwood, then were carpeted over. Assumes custom patterns and finishes as well as an intricate floor plan typical of high value homes.

Included in Cost: Carpet, pad, hardwood flooring, and installation labor.
