A heavy wool woven fabric of Berber construction attached to a rubber or burlap-like backing. It is attached to the floor either by an adhesive, or by nailing tack strips along the perimeter of the room. Berber carpeting has a very dense weave with very short fibers that makes it very durable. This carpeting is generally an upgrade or found in higher end homes. Assumes custom patterns and finishes as well as an intricate floor plan typical of high value homes.
