Tile, Onyx

Onyx tiles installed over wood joists and sheathing or a concrete slab with an adhesive, with grouted joints. Onyx is a banded variety of chalcedony, which is a cryptocrystalline form of silica composed of very fine intergrowths of quartz and moganite. Onyx is a variant of agate with black and white banding, while agate with brown, orange, red and white banding is known as sardonyx. Onyx can be polished and cut into many different shapes, patterns and sizes.
