Storm Shelter, Fiberglass, Below Ground, Square Feet
A freestanding (detached) safe room or shelter area that provides a safe area where people can get out of harm’s way of a tornado, thunderstorm, hurricane, or severe weather or storm. The room or shelter provides a safe area until the storm passes. The storm shelter is detached from the home below ground outside, or can be located below a garage slab, home’s slab, basement slab or other area of the home below ground. The storm shelter is designed in accordance to national, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and/or State guidelines for residential installation.
Note: A storm shelter can provide security and/or safety from a storm but can be susceptible to flooding, so the storm shelter should not be occupied during an event that could result in storm surge and/or flooding if the area is known to flood.
Included in Cost: A fiberglass storm shelter with stairway, access door and hardware, fastener and anchoring system, excavation and backfill, ventilation system and installation labor to construct a detached below ground fiberglass storm shelter.
Enter the total square footage, between 0 and 300, of all detached below ground fiberglass storm shelters found on the property.
